What Makes Sports Fun for Kids? Winning Isn’t Everything

While many kids love organized sports, there are probably just as many who would rather play video games. So what exactly makes youth sports fun? New research on this topic reveals some surprising results.

It is unlikely that 안전놀이터 sports betting will be adopted in Phase 1 of the Japanese version of IR. So why was

this removed from the IR guidelines early on? Consider the contradiction and future possibilities.
The study found that “trying your best” and “working hard” were two of the top-rated fun factors. In fact, the research dispels the popular myth that, for girls, the most enjoyable aspect of organized sports is the socializing, and for boys, it is the competition.

The New England Patriots won their sixth victory at the 53rd Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, USA on February 3, local time.

That said, this is a story about people who can bet at sports books (sports betting) at major hotels in Las Vegas or at British bookmakers. Official sports betting is not allowed in Japan today.

The findings can be used by sport organizations to make their programs more fun and thus keep kids playing longer. Kids in the United States who drop out of organized sports typically do so by middle school, claiming that games and practices just aren’t fun anymore.

Many Japanese media deepened their interest by introducing the odds (bet rate) of the British bookmaker to the soccer World Cup match against Japan last year and the prediction of the final match of Naomi Osaka of the Australian Open. It's an era. There are many sports newspapers that explain the odds of winning Japanese horses participating in international horse racing at local odds.

The new research follows another study in which Visek and her colleagues engaged soccer players, ages 8 to 19, in concept mapping everything that makes playing sports fun.

However, in reality, even in Japan, a "sports lottery" for soccer games called "toto" has already been released. This is "the target of betting is the competition (game) conducted by others", and the target is not limited to the J League, but was widely released at the World Cup 2018. Furthermore, in Japan's off-season, "overseas version toto" is being released for betting on German Bundesliga and English Premier League games. This is probably because he thinks that "fairness can be ensured" even in games held in other countries.

For example, compared to older players, younger players reported it was more important to have a coach who allowed them to “play different positions.” This study confirms previous research suggesting that younger players are more likely to benefit from this strategy compared to older, more developed athletes.

One limitation of this study was that the participants were all soccer players. Visek’s research team asked the players to rate the importance of all the determinants and to respond keeping in mind all of the sports they play.

irst of all, there is an interpretation that toto is a "predictive lottery" to be released based on the "Act on the Implementation of Sports Promotion Voting, etc." and is not gambling. And since the profits are used for promotion of sports, the character is different from the national treasury payment that a casino operator pays 30% of gross profit (GGR).

The findings of this study suggest that coaches and parents may be missing the mark if they push a winning season or mistakenly reinforce perceived gender differences.

Another, or rather, the biggest point is that the current toto payout rate is about 50%. If a sportsbook is set up in Japan where about 90% will be used for refunds, it will never be a match. From the standpoint of enjoying sports betting and contributing a little to the promotion of sports in Japan, it is ideal that toto will come closer to raise the refund rate, increase the number of target events, and eventually coexist with sports books. But, as expected ...

“When it comes to organized sports, kids just want to have fun,” Visek said. “This research does not support the common gender and developmental stereotypes we tend to make about kids in sports.”

So why was the whole sports betting removed from the betting that can be enjoyed at the Japanese casino from an early stage?
